Event date is the 28/11/2015. There are two distances. The 21km will start at Point Addis and Finish in Torquay and the 12km run will start at the famous Bells Bech and Finish in Torquay. Both runs will follow the iconic Surfcoast walk. All runners will start in the light and finish in the dark. The BSR 10km / half marathon event takes place on the Bellarine Coastal Trail between Portarlington and St Leonard's in Victoria Australia and needs to be ran (or walked) to be appreciated, it has a view of Melbourne's skyline across Port Philip Bay, the You Yangs across Corio Quay and the relaxing landcapes of an area showcasing old fashion town charm. The beauty and appeal of the Bellarine Coastal Trail is you will always be within 50m of the beach and 50m from the Esplanade it also happens to be 10.7km between the piers of Portarlington and St Leonard's meaning it is perfect for 10km/half marathon distances, it's a course everyone will get across quickly with plenty of room for overtaking those who are mesmerised by the view and the bonus is there's few hills. |Sun||13 Mar||BLACK BULL HALF MARATHON (VIC)
The running of the Black Bull half marathon is part of the 2016 Murray Quad, which is a Quadrathlon (Triathlon plus a paddle) event that starts at the Yarrawonga Rowing club with a swim on Lake Mulwala, then a run around Yarrawonga, the chainman's island nature reserve and silverwood golf and lifestyle resort, a bike ride from Yarrawonga to Cobram via Wilby, Tungamaha and Katamatite and finally finishes a paddle on the Murray River to Tocumwal. To encourage more people to enter in 2016 event we are introducing single events for each of the four disciplines run at the same time as the Murray Quad. The Running of the Black Bull Half Marathon is a unique event that will include a loop around the exquisitely landscaped Black Bull golf course which is wrapped around the waters of Lake Mulwala. The run will start at around 8am just before the first swimmer from the Murray Quad event exits the water. Entry is via the website or the day before at the Murray Quad registration desk located at the Yarrawonga Rowing Club Results will be timed based and opened to all participants including those athletes competing in the Full distance and relay events of the Murray Quad. From May 11 - May 16, 2016, Katoomba, NSW, will play host to over 4000 athletes, spectators and support crew, converging for a five-day trail running extravaganza.
