i have found a good pair of tri - bars on ebay.

the model is called PROFILE DESIGN CARBON STRIKE

i think they would be a good pair, because they are carbon - light and are the official tri bar of the ironman race !!

it says they weigh about 576grams...is this a reasonable weight for bars?? - wats a usual weight.

How much would you expect to pay for a tri bars like these ?

Hi runhappy - the carbon stykes are pretty fancy shmancy bars and are pretty popular. Not sure on costs as I haven't contemplated an upgrade for quite a while now so haven't done the research. Most of the online bike stores have prices listed though.

In fact, last time I looked the official Profile webpage had RRP as well

I've got the carbon strykes and have been pretty happy with them. I called 5 well known bike shops and got 5 different prices. You should be able to get them for $275-$365....depending on where you go.
