I was lucky enough to be a last-minute fill-in for a team on Sunday. what a brilliant day! What an experience!! AND they have given me a ludicrously fast run time in the results so that's good too. :)
Anyone else do the event? How did you go?

I was lucky enough to race as well, it's a great event. Funny, my run time seemed a little fast too, but like you, I'll take it!
If only I'd strapped on the Garmin once I was off the bike...even if the run was a little short, those massive transitions made up for it!
Alison, my training buddy tells me you ran him pretty hard this morning! Keep at him, he'd love to run faster and definately has the potential to, but he hasn't found the enjoyment in running yet... ;)

The best sight all day had to be the bike compound at 6am. It looked awesome under the floodlights. I really felt that I was at a 'happening'. Wish I had a camera with me.

Yes, I competed in the Gold Coast event. I was meant to be the runner in the sprint series but our swimmer was a no show so I did the swim as well.
Had a shocking swim time (not really a swimmer), but we made up for it in the cycle & run. For our first triathlon, albeit a small one, we were very happy with a place of 80th out of 270.
I think I did a PB with the run too of 18:14 min. So I was stoked.
