Saw a giant bike '06 tcr advanced advertised for $4200, I believe it is the top of the line frame with 10 speed ultegra. I am looking to upgrade from my tcr aero with 105, and will use it mainly for commuting to work and triathlons during the summer months. Does this sound like a good deal? what do people think of the new giant trinity?

Thats not a bad deal. Giants are good value for money, not the best bike going around but certainly not the worst. I am selling my 486 to purchase a Trinity (with upgrades like full dura ace), nice frame for the price

I'm not a big fan of giant bikes... however, I ended up test riding an Advanced when by brother was looking for a new bike, was very nice, very nice indeed, especially for the money, you can't go wrong.
If I was looking at buying a new bike it would be a very serious consideration, he ended up going with Trek Madone SL 5.2(I think) and we both liked the ride and feel better than the Advanced, maybe worth looking at, I believe he ended up getting it cheaper than the Advanced as well.
