Hi all I have started planning the weekend for the byron tri (the 13th of may) I love the idea of it being on a saturday so I can have a beer of twelve after :D . all booked in to stay down there from friday till monday lovely. It is my first full size tri so hope I dont die all I have to do is get out of the water and all will be good(I am a crap swimmer)I hope :rolleyes:

It is a great weekend. Lots of team entries which makes for a fun and festive weekend. Finish is only 200 metres to the Beach Hotel!!

Byron's great - it's the end of season triathlon and tends to be taken a little less seriously and be more foucssed on the party than the pewrformances. It's always a wetsuit swim, the bike course is not completely closed to traffic - so take care, and the run is historically short - so PB's and bragging rights abound.
Some people just go there to race their mates - to be first to the Bar!
