Seeing I got so little triathlon racing in this summer I'm looking toward doing the Duathlon series in winter - 5km/20km/3km. I've used the trinewbies site in the past for some good training programs for triathlon, but haven't been able to find much for Duathlon. I could modify my triathlon training plan but not sure how much to increase the running training frequency and duration. Anyone found any good resources?

not sure of any sites for duathlons.
but it would be pretty much the same training
for triathlons without the swimmimng.
one session i always enjoyed was the brick session.
for me it was 4km hard bike 800m hard run.
repeated 4-6times no rest, so after the 800m run straight back on the bike.
gets your legs used to running before and after the bike leg.
good luck with it

Bluey,

Not sure where you are in Sydney, but you will find some duathlon events during the winter at www.pantherstriclub.com.au

Bluey Panthers tri club run club duathlons in winter i think 3 in total. You do have to be a club member to race though. The racing is great and there are all levels of athletes. They are held out the the rowing centre at Penrith.
As for training programs Slowdave do some brick sessions with run-bike-run as the format, as Chonky has suggested. I wouldn't increase your things to much just add a quaility brick session once a week.
