I was looking around for a new road bike was considering maybe a Trek 1400. I then noticed a sydney shop Cell bikes having never ridden one off these bikes. I was wondering if anyone had any feed back on them, they seem to be quite good value for what you get. The link is http://www.cellbikes.com.au

I pinched this from their website:

Full-carbon roadie w/Ultegra 20spd for $2300 (similar price to the Trek) is pretty damn cheap. I'd buy that and if it turned out to be a total dog, I'd move the Ultegra onto a new frame. I'm currently riding an Azzurri and it's just another generic roadie with a bullsh1t Italian-sounding name, although not a bad old pushy when it's all said and done. Same deal, you could pickup a full-carbon 20spd Azzurri for similar price.

Bought one back in April liked it so much that I then bought one for Lesley.
Then asked if they would be interested in supporting the Cities Marathon and they offered two (professionally fited to suit the winners) as lucky draws in the marathon.

So if you're up for a freebie finish the marathon and try your luck.

But we can recommend their mountain bikes, there's two in our shed.

They're nice people down there as well.

Much as I'm loathe to dig up old threads, but I felt I had to...

Love it - I get permission to buy myself a nice road bike, do a bit of surfing around and stumble across Cell Bikes' website.

Do a Google search for "cell road bikes feedback" from Australian sites, and first link that comes up is Coolrunning...

Pedals Plus North parra branch is closing this week.

There are still good bargains to be had, depending on what sort of frame, components etc. Give ben a call. Mainly Azzurri's , Lear but also other stuff inc even a Kuota Kharma frame-- may fit you even Vat- good bling factor. smile.gif

Colin is that where you got your full monocoque framed bike?

Just love saying monocoque.

Ah, too late. Couldn't go past the Cell Triumph - the moment I saw the matt black finish on the frame I fell in love with it. Good price, too, and plenty of impressive sounding techo-crap on it. Well, lots of carbon fibre. Took it out for a quick 10 minute cruise around the neighborhood - certainly a lot easier to drag up hills, and very darty compared to my old Giant MTB - managed not to fall off despite it being my debut experience with cleats.

Guy named Brett spent a lot of time fitting me up properly, setting the pedals and seat for me. Couldn't speak highly enough of the service, but then the phrase "I want to buy THAT bike" when a salesman comes up to you at a bike shop generally gets pretty good attention. Made a point of mentioning the Cities Marathon prize was a factor in purchasing.

Off to the M7 tomorrow morning, then.
