[font="Comic Sans MS"][/font][color="#000080"][/color]I am wondering whether there might be anyone out there with a spare of cycling shoes lying around.

We have an American cousin arriving from NZ on Friday on his way back to America from Antarctica (where he has been hanging out and working for a while, and running the Antarctic marathon!) and he would be mega keen to race in the Cronulla tri on Sunday. He has no gear but we've managed to find a bike he could borrow. However, hence the title of the post, we're short of bike shoes.

He says he is a size 12 (I assume that means US mens size 12) but would be happy to borrow anything bigger also!

If anyone might have an old pair of shoes he could borrow for the day, he would appreciate it SO much - it would be fantastic.

Please let me know if you might have any ideas on this!

Hey, what sort of pedals does he use?

I have a set of MTB shoes with SHimano SPD cleats, but there a size 45, plus a set of Shimano road shoes size 45 with no cleats, plus a set of Vittoria size 44 with SPD-sl cleats? Do any of these help? My brother is a size 48, and has a spare set but with Speedplay cleats, plus a set of mtb shoes with spd cleats? Phew, I think I need a garage sale!
