Rohan,
You looking to sponser a worthwhile tri-athlete.
I am thinking of making a comeback I only have an old Canondale R800. Happy to accept and give you credit for being so nice.

Colin,
Your comment reminds me of a book I was reading not so long ago about the history of the bicycle. Its precurser was a two wheeled machine with no pedals, propelled by the feet whilst straddling a seat between the front and rear wheels. Called a Velocipede. ...but yeah, I'd opt for the pedaled variety of bike too!

...and since we're talking cycling, I hear SBS are showing the Paris-Roubaix on Sunday 29th April at 11am. Though having said that, they also advertised it last week and showed the Tour of Flanders instead. But I reckon I'll set the ol' VCR again, 'cause this one will be worth watching!

also on sun april 29, channel 9, 1pm they are allegedly showing ironman australia.
i say allegedly, because they didn't show IMWA when they first said they were and it wound up on telly several weeks later.

Rohan,
I will even supply my own pedals.
Will upset the tri/roadies and put my spare mountain bike pedals on "it".

Great frame there Dave.
200 yrs later they called it the 'softride'

my current bike was a 2nd hand softride, but i changed the frame. (good thing it came witha seat pole)
i found the softride great on the flat, but lacked feedback downhill.
ie. your feet already don't give the same feedback downhill as you can't keep on powering.. on a significant downhill anyway. couple that with the not entirely fixed seating position and it kinda freaked me.
liked the different look of the softride, but not the vague feel.
thommo the only middle aged guy with a midlife crisis playing at doing tris that i am sponsoring is me.
