Awesome run by Gay - not quite in Johnson's league - probably low 19.50s/high 19.40s with a decent tailwind...

Had to look up Schadenfreude Okay I think most of us have fitted the bill at different times.

Don't forget the track for Johnson (200mtrs World record,etc) was a sprinters track.

The Emperor couldn't back up because the track was so hard.

So is a frozen or semi-frozen track faster for sprinters?

I don't know about Schadenfreude - just seems like a good healthy dose of Karma.

Tricky call for Jones. If she had admitted drug use, she would have essentially killed any future income from the sport. But fighting to clear her name has possibly cost more in legal fees... Still, the company she has kept has made this almost inevitable...

Apart from quick times, there has never been anything to link Johnson to drugs. They way his career progressed and his times cames down is very consistent with a top athlete gradually reaching his potential. Remember he was the world's best for 200m and 40m in 1992 before food poisoning skittled his Olympic chances... he certainly didn't appear from nowhere and run 19.32...
