Howdy all Cr members;

I am looking at buying at new computer for my bike. I have mostly used Cateye computers which have generally worked well but seem to be over priced compared to other brands;

So I was wondering if Cateye computers are generally more expensive because they are more accruate plus work better or is it just a pay for the name thing?

If you have any other suggestions on different models please let me know.

(I am looking for a computer that has Cadence, avg speed, max speed, distance, ODO, avg cadance if I can.)

Thanks

I don't think you lose much accuracy between brands, unless you go to BigW or K-mart for example.

I've used the echowell and vetta brands, and they've been fine.

Although it's expensive, the Mavic Wintech is pretty funky, as the receiver is contained within the front wheel skewer - saves on a bit of wind resistance I suppose

I recently bought a wireless cateye computer from ebay for less than half retail price for a current model. I bought a micro wireless CC-MC100W for $60 including postage(from aus seller) and have since seen them in the local bike shops up to $150!! Full warranty as well besause it was new and from an online store.
One happy buyer here!!
