Recently I have had to reduce the amount of specific running trianing session becuase of a slight calf injury (overuse). I was wondering if anybody could suggest some type of Bike/Swim session I could do as cross training until I can resume full training again. I went to the gym last week; got on the exercise bike and did 60-on 60-off for 20mins, hurt more than most running session. What other types of sessions would be beneficial (inlcuding any swim session) by the way I am trianing for the track 1500m to 3000m (occasional 800m). The main sessions i am not doing are my slower longer runs to reduce mileage.
