Hey guys,

I was quite happy with what I did. 31mins for the swim - I did breastroke for close to half the way due to my sore shoulder. I can't wait to see how I will go in the Coolangatta Gold swim later this year! For the run I did 51.47mins, a bit disappointed but the first 5km was really nothing the be excited about. I got 4 stitches in the first 5km and after this I decided to walk when I went through the drink stations so I wouldn't get a stitch! The second half was much better! I can't wait to do more time trials!

I hope to enter a team for Noosa this year, but we'll see if we can get any commitment from the others at work...

Post a bit delayed!

Had a great morning at Mooloolaba. Lovely to meet you Tuttle.

Exceded my expectations and only ran 2 minutes slower than last year clocking a time 43:5x. Felt pretty comfortable the whole way but was certainly aware of the loss of "gears". Felt like I only had two... 1.Slow 2.Bit faster...so some speedwork would certainly help improve that.

Great atmosphere and didn't get pulled over by a USM Official so good day!

I managed to run despite being quite unwell from a head cold, and also spending most of the night up with terrible stomach cramps the night before.
As I did the team event I wasn't able to run til about 9:45am and as I'd been up since 5am it certainly wasn't ideal conditions.

Still, I gave it my best shot and did a time of 46 min 30 sec which I was happy with considering my ill health.

The afterparty was definitely worth it all and we partied into the wee hours of the morning. Plus I have been convinced to do Byron Bay triathlon in May smile.gif

Good to have chats to Mickey and Peterhorse. I also saw a lady CR in the run and I yelled out GCR a couple of times - I mustn't have been running hard enough if I had the breath/energy to do that!

I managed to get home in time to watch it after Raby Bay. They are incredible athletes. Next time I have the opportunity I will hang around and watch them in the flesh.
