Anyone doing the Newcastle Foreshore Triathlon on 3 Feb 08. The entries are open. This is a great race on a good fast course.

If the weather is nice, there's not many better places in Australia to hold a tri than Newcastle Harbour.

I have to rediscover some speed before then, though.

Absolutely!! Am looking forward to it immensely; however as it is my first tri (runner...hmmm...) I am understandably nervous! Especially due to the fact that I have been for a total of four rides thus far

Anyway... we'll see! Hope to do ok, as mumsies is coming up from SA to watch.. much prefer her watch a half or something I know I can actually do ok in - buuuut I'm giving it a shot regardless.

Well another great Newcastle Foreshore Triathlon has come and gone - great to catch up with Muzman as always and nice to meet you Shankate - hope your mother enjoyed the day!

Knocked 2 mins off my time last year so I am very happy - also glad the rain held off.

See you at Sparke Helmore in March if you are going!

I'll second that, Danny. Newcastle Tri Club did a great job today and I'm sure everyone had a ball. I was well pleased with my 1 hr and a little bit. Well - 7mins is a little bit

Also congrats to Shankate on your first tri, I was pleased to be there when you crossed the line. May there be many more (I was the big guy in the red trisuit that met you with Danny on the walk to the swim start, remember?).

Yeah, bring on Sparke Helmore - without the rain.
