I must admit that I am a bit disappointed I did not go after reading about how fantastic the day was. I took time of work and everything to go (still on time off now) but decided against it as I wanted to keep my eye on the prize at Port. Probably was a good thing as mentally, last week, I was far from ready for a race of 4+ hours but after a good weekend session and making the most of the break from shift work am bouncing off the walls.

Not even semi related, i have applied for a different position within my company which will see me move away from a 24 shift roster and onto 9-4 mon to fri work. Here's hoping. 14 years of shift work is just getting under my skin a touch now.

Sounds like you are almost going semi-pro wink.gif tongue.gif

The "company" is being nice to you, letting you go off shiftwork.

I can only imagine what you will achieve now that you don't have to worry about what shift are you going to be doing.

As a shiftworker I now what you are talking about.

BTW, I find there are some advantages also. But don't want to hijack any longer
