http://www.athletics.com.au/community/even...ey_grandprix_08Forget about running with Ipods, reading books about Lydiard, mystical breathing techniques, which garmin is best or any other hocus pocus. This Saturday night at Homebush watch our best take on some of the best from around the world, including 2 of the greatest ever athletes, Jeremy Wariner and Asafa Powell. If you get a chance, sneak out to the warm up track and watch the level of intensity required to prepare to compete whether it be the throwers, jumpers, sprinters or the middle distance athletes.
If this doesn't inspire it's time to retire. Get your backside trackside.

Fully agree. A wonderful chance to see some great athletes and to support Athletics with our bums on seats. There should be a CR contingent going. I will be there for a great night. Who else???

I always like to sit just past the finish line which is also the start of the 400 and 800.

Gee I recall EdwinSoiForGold singing Warriner's praises from when he was a scrawney string bean struggling to get onto the fast side of 45sec (and "the other" Edwin Soi was just a wee chappie back in the village).

Hi Tubby,
i guess we should consider all my predictions before elevating me to Nostradamus status. How about the adoring praise of Mulcahy last year? he may come good later in the season as he gets fitter, but it doesn't look great for Beijing...it's cock a doodle doo for this kid by July. Or underestimating Milburn even after his low 46's, what a shocker prediction that's turned out to be. I am however, rather pleased with my Wariner result and optimistic about Soi's future. While here i'll make an early prediction on Trychelle Kingdom a young 800m runner to eventually break what will soon be Tamsyn Lewis's Aussie 800m record.
