Just watching nutrigrain ironman series on foxtel and the competitors are paddling and on surf skis. I thought Ironman was swim, bike, run. Can anyone tell me what is what coz now I'm confused!

The one you were watching is the Ironman "Surf Life Saving" series and the triathlon Ironman is a name and logo branded by the World Triathlon Confed..... initially it was based on the Hawaiian Ironman race, but now includes all the races under WTC with the same distance and used as qualifiers for Hawaii.
