Hi All

Just starting out cycling with a basic road bike (bought on-line with estimated correct size - yeh, I know rolleyes.gif ).

Before trying to crank out too many k's I thought it prudent to get myself setup on it so I'm not too far out of whack.
I'd be interested in any opinions/recommendations/etc. I'm SOR so anything in this region would be preferable.

Total cycling newbie so fire away (it's been interesting trying "real" cycling shoes and pedals!).

Cheers
Suzy
Hey Gregorywannabe I can highly recommend Rick at Churchill Cycles in Myaree. He is an ex bike racer and has a lot to do with triathletes as well. I have bought 2 new bikes through him and he knows his stuff, although his bike setups probably lean more towards bike racing than triathlon.

If triathlon (particularly long course) is your aim then Andrew Budge at Trysport is the man to see to get your bike set up. He has helped hundreds of people with their bike setups and training programmes for triathlons.

Trying clip-in pedals for the first time is quite interesting isn't it? But do persevere - they are worth it in the long run, and a huge improvement on the old toestraps and cages.
